Probably the oldest sister of Heinie Call and Frida Call-Chinbunny.  She was a contestant in the Miss Keno beauty contest at age 17 in 1932.  Hosted a party where locks of her hair were to be the party favors.

Rooster Davis

Brother of Rotten Davis. Their father holds a high position in the Lofty Horsemen of the Five Continents lodge. Read a book about a French explorer who wilted in the Sahara Desert until he turned into a pool of liquid. The natives who came looking for him scooped him up in a bottle and sent it to France to be properly buried.  Tore his pants that Sade stitched up.  Had all kinds of things in his pocket: a piece of green chalk, an ink eraser, 11 cents, a little book about cook stoves and how to fix them, a horseshoe nail,a comb with no teeth, a hinge, a heel plate and a hunting license for Ohio dated 1914.  Planned to ride bikes with Rush. He wrote a verse about Heinie Call because he wouldn't fight.  He is interested in Rush's party ideas. He and Rush make arrangements to go to the movies. The Last time he complimented someone was 1935. His real name is "Edwin." He is President of the Boys Nitroglycerin Pep Club. When he goes to the movies, he puts his Bijou ticket stub in his hat band so that people know he's attending the theater. Had an idea about using a live pig and slicing bacon off of it in a restaurant. When he was 13, he ran an errand (clean on the other side of town) for Mis' Appelrot, who told him to wash his ears, called him a "little boy" and then gave him a nickel. Gave Russell a five cent key ring. Was a member of the "Blue Light Sunday School" class.  Use to be good friends with Allen "Fat" Johnson. Was to buy out a whole section of Bijou seats and have it roped off with a sign that read, "Mr. Davis."  Was to show up wearing a long coat with a fur collar and was to amuse and astound the audience.

Mis' Call

Wife of Mr. Call and mother of Heinie Call, Sidney Call and Frida Call- Chinbunny. Mother-in-law to Mr. Chinbunny.  Her maiden name would appear to be 'Wheeney'as her brother is Elton Wheeney, who was a chemistry teacher at the high school.  A known gossiper. Lives across the street from Gooks. Looked out the window with her husband to see Mr. Donahue leave to his new job. Got into a row with Mis' Elder.  A hot head. Sade says she is the kind of person who doesn't want anyone to owe her anything and doesn't want to owe anyone anything.

Mr. Chinbunny

Married to Heinie Call's sister, Freda. Was Superintendent, later the Principal of the high school that Rush attends. Shaves the top of his head in order to look older.  Was bawled out by the Board of Education for having his photo in the paper. He once called up Vic for the purposes of having him teach him how to properly smoke cigars.  Stated that there would be severe penalties for students who are caught tampering with the delicate instruments in the physics lab. Really enjoys ice cream and is seen eating it with euphoria with his wife Freda over at the Call house.  Is an amateur astronomer and (probably) meteorologist.  Is known to wear fake sideburns.

Mr. Call

Father of Heinie Call, Sidney Call and Frida Call-Chinbunny.  Sade saw him walking down the street. Lives across the street from Gooks, yet he owns a farm 6 miles away as well. Looked out the window with his wife to see Mr. Donahue leave for his new job.

Blue Tooth Johnson

Rush's friend, he telephones Rush often.  His real name is William Gazelle Johnson.  Has a basketball hoop in his back yard.  Tends to be a bit clumsy.  Is a show-off.  Is sensitive and high strung.  Once fell off the Gook kitchen chair.  Bought a book: 36 Ways to Make a Million Dollars.  He is a very careful and precise person.  Once hid under the Gook davenport. A fan of Third Lieutenant Stanley books.  Wanted to sue the Bijou theater because of a defective seat. Before that, he had wanted to sue the Butler House Hotel. Was invited over to the Gook house to study algebra. A member of the Virginia Avenue Area Sons of Patriotism Salvage Indemnity. Was to be hired to run errands at the Brainfeeble housewarming party.  Like Rooster Davis, Rush says his real first name too is "Edwin." (Although Russell later said his real first name was "Albert.") Almost got into a fist fight with Heinie Call.  Gets an enormous thrill out of playing dominoes.  Found a 1939 dime. Seems to have a thing for Mildred Tisdale.  His father works for the Chicago-Alton railroad.  Took his whole Sunday School class to lunch at the Butler House Hotel Restaurant.  Was sitting in study hall at 2:15 and went to sleep and fell out of his seat and landed on Leland Richard's foot that stuck out in the aisle - Leland Richards, Mildred Tisdel and Eunice Raypole hollered in fright.  Called on in class by Mis' Monroe but his upper jaw was glued to his lower jaw by some homemade taffy; was sent to Mr. Chinbunny's office where his taffy was confiscated. Had a scheme with Russell to put a dollar in the church offering but was to make it look like a lot more money.  Traded a bicycle pump for a doghouse; the trade was made solely in order to make people believe he had a dog.  Enjoys making a mystery out of things.
