David Whitehouse

Orphaned nephew of Vic's boss, Mr. Buller, at Consolidated Kitchenware. He began staying with the Gooks in 1943. He often plays baseball at Tatman's vacant lot and once bloodied himself there sliding into second base.  He also plays a good deal of football there.  His good friends include Oyster Krecker, Lombard, Raymond Surrells and Arthur Grump.  Is a feisty sort.  Is 14 years old and has blue eyes.  Doesn't get along well with Heinie Call.  Enjoys macaroni and cheese.  Goes swimming at the YMCA.  Volunteered to evict Mr. Overholt from Mis' Harris' rooming house. He volunteered to call the Stembottoms and tell them that Vic and Sade would not come over to their house so that Vic would be stuck working on Fred's car.  Vic and Sade were appalled at him for his treatment of Anabel Hemstreet...
