Mr. Z

Full name is Bunker Verlon Z.  An odd (Uncle Fletcher-type) character who lives in Mis' Kessler's basement. Helped Charlie Husher's dog by fixing his busted paw. Calls himself a 'handyman' yet isn't handy at all.  He's a bit nuts - if nothing else.   Both Vic and Mis' Kessler thought he might be an escapee from Holtmanville, an Illinois mental institution.

 

Pete and Dorothy McScrutcher

Mis' Kessler and Mr. Thompson were at their wedding.  Pete fell off of a wheelbarrow at the locomotive factory and broke a tooth and his leg. Dorothy fell out of a rocking chair.  - compiled by Richard E. Hunton

87 year-old member of the Thimble Club. Has been known to be somewhat confused as she told the ladies her son was a balloonist (he actually might be a balloonist.)  She also thought Mis' Trogle wore size 4½ shoe.

Lives on West Monroe Street. Married to Alvy.  Is one of Sade's best friends.   Was told by Mis Oglethorpe and then told Mis' Harris that Vic was sick. Her first name is 'Margaret' and has a daughter named Margaret. Is a member of the Thimble Club. Was to go to the Bijou with Sade and Mis' Kilgore and be treated to an ice cream at The Greek's by Sade.  Wears both size 4½ and size 5½ shoe and is the owner of 4 pair of shoes.
