Virgil Dejectedly

Virgil Dejectedly had his name changed often so that he could change the inititals on his hat. He did this to give him something to do. He didn't work but had a steady income of $20 a week. At first, the man at the haberdashery was changing the initials on the hat for free, then started charging a quarter. Eventually, it got out of hand and the haberdashery man finally just got mad in 1909.

From Cordova (although later it is said he's from Dixon.)  Has seven brothers: Virgil, Sam, Art, Pete, Harry, Paul and Charlie.  Has a cousin that claims he can "unscramble" eggs. Wanted to Visit Fletcher and was going to stay at the Gook house.  He was also going to travel to Dismal Seepage, Ohio.  He decided he's stay at whichever place was more comfortable to him.  Used to live in Philadephia. He and Pelter Unbleet lived in Philadelphia at the same time - but they didn't know each other. Is coming to visit Fletcher.  Sade probably doesn't like him.  Probably lives in Dixon.  Is the inventor of non-patented Hyena Grease-based formula for shoes; he's trusted Uncle Fletcher with the ingredients.
