Sade's mother. Had a husband named George. Her brother was Fletcher Rush (Uncle Fletcher.) She died in 1931 despite the fact that was in a few early 1932 episodes.

Telephone repairman. Hangs around the interurban station. Brought Vic his Peoria train ticket he left behind at the station. His wife is Mis' Dean.

Confused City Calistoker. Came to Gook house and delayed them as they were about to leave. Confused Rush with Vic twice. Mis' Harris didn't believe who he was and wouldn't open the door for him. Remains confused. He's lost his eye glasses and insists that Sade's name is "Mrs. Emerson." Came over and again confused Sade with Mrs. Emerson. Had an iron notebook with him. Thinks Mr. Sprawl is the son of Vic and Sade. Refers to Vic, Uncle Fletcher and Mr. Sprawl all by the wrong names - he even thinks Mr. Sprawl is the "lady of the house" and calling Sade, "Mr. Montgomery."
Vernon Korkell

Husband of Edith Korkell. Got his foot stepped on by Howard and was bruised. He's a meter reader. Affectionately called "Mr. Husband" by his wife. Doesn't like Howard and said he should be punished. Uncle Fletcher tells him he looks a great deal like George J. McTrotch of Oklahoma. Gives piano lessons. Wanted to become a part of the Sewage Worker's Silver Cornet Band. Also plays the banjo.

Half-witted brother of Edith Korkell. He has a pompadour that he can't control. Thinks his pompadour should "lay down." Wants to buy Grizzly Bear Grease to control his pompadour. Thinks he is going to get fired from his job as apprentice meter reader for sleeping in cellars. Has a desire to both join the lodge and to get kicked out of it. After being warned six different times about going to sleep in the customer's basements, got fired from his job. Vic hires him to work in the boxing department of Consolidated Kitchenware. Somehow got his job back as a gas meter reader. Mr. Zee teased him.
Dwight Twentysixler
Friend of Uncle Fletcher's from Dismal Seepage, Ohio. Worked for the railroad and put a railroad car together in his backyard. Uncle Fletcher was to invite him to Mis' Keller's wedding. Seems to have a thing for Mis' Harris. In Series 3 became a real character. Talks continually with shingle nails in his mouth. He and Uncle Fletcher plan to sleep on the courthouse lawn in November of 1945. Has a married daughter that lives in Dismal Seepage, Ohio. Has a scrapbook devoted to himself and with Uncle Fletcher, showed it to Mis' Harris. Got engaged to Mis' Harris; even going as far as to remove his shingle nails, at least temporarily. Wears his cap backwards and wears his shoes on the wrong feet. Once found a letter in his hat at a Seattle, Wash. theater in 1932 from Promptez Helena de Santel whose phone number was Yosemite 6754.

Floyd Cunningham
Married to Mrs. Cunningham. He's fat (Rush watched him play handball at the YMCA and he almost got into a fight with Mr. Morris.) Sade saw his wife at a big sale at Yamiltons. He works at the Ten Cent store.
Walter Helfer

A barber in Carberry and the husband of Sade's sister, Bess Helfer. His daughter is Euncie Helfer. Has major knee twinge problems. His last name was Hemstreet in this episode. Uncle Fletcher thinks he's a hard worker. Can be touchy/sensitive. Gave Rush a silver dollar for his (14?) birthday. Is serious all the time.
